Inspired by the Madrigal Ten, a group of ten Latina women who were sterilized without consent while giving birth at Los Angeles County USC Medical Center during the 1970s, the story follows Eva, a mother who, after being informed of her sterilization, is faced with the life-altering decision of joining Jessica, a 26-year-old fierce Chicana attorney, and nine other women in a lawsuit against the hospital.

 

Inspirada en la vida de las Madrigal Ten, un grupo de diez mujeres latinas que fueron esterilizadas sin su consentimiento después de dar a luz en el centro médico Los Angeles County USC en la década de los setenta, la historia sigue a Eva, una madre quien, después de ser informada de su esterilización, afronta la decisión de unirse a Jessica, una feroz abogada chicana de 26 años, y otras nueve mujeres en una demanda en contra del hospital.
