The Work begins as Daniel MacIvor travels to California to interrogate the truth at the center of his last solo show created with collaborator Daniel Brooks. What starts out as a document of a theatre process that elasticizes time and truth becomes a road trip into the nature of storytelling, a questioning of meaning itself, and finally emerges as a tender portrait of a unique friendship.
