In this critically acclaimed drama set in the 1820s, a skilled cook travels west to seek his fortune. He finds true connection with a Chinese immigrant fortune-seeker. The two collaborate on a successful but risky food business. After the showing, there will be a discussion and Q&A. Daily Camera Dining Critic Clay Fong will lead the discussion with co-lead actor Orion Lee and Professor and Culinary Historian Ken Albala of the University of the Pacific.
