After moving to the US to become an illustrative artist, Laura becomes sidetracked with meaningless jobs and vapid friendships. She resorts to unhealthy coping mechanisms to deal with her lack of meaningful human connections and the discouragement she feels in losing sight of her dreams. In a chance encounter, she meets a stranger who reminds her of her potential.

TEMPEST DESERT is about the feeling of not belonging and the struggle to stay real to yourself in a place of discomfort. It is a criticism of the opportunist mentality prevalent in Los Angeles and an exploration of depression, anxiety, and the ways that people still treat inebriated women. Above all else, this is a story about love and human connection.
