…and I Feel Fine comes from deeply entrenched anxiety surrounding climate change, and its effects on a personal scale. It's a film that acknowledges—but doesn’t linger on—the physical catastrophes often embellished, and almost celebrated, in Hollywood.

The main characters each represent a contemporary mindset. River embodies the product of a climate-anxious generation. A babysitter to her husband (Charlie), and protector to her daughter (Sam), River is the gentle yet unapologetic matriarch of the Wayward Family. Charlie’s passive demeanor and hesitant ambitions are rooted in a deep longing for the past: a time when the climate was in control. Charlie’s selfishness collides with River’s selfless tenacity. Charlie’s discontent is broken only by his love for Sam.
