In 2006, during an exceptionally cold winter in a small town in Northern China, a 12-year-old girl finds out she is illegitimate when she rushes to the local hospital to collect her mother’s body. Can she find a way to properly send her mother into her afterlife? And more importantly, can she forgive her mother and welcome her when her spirit returns home?
