About the Filmmaker:

Timeea Mohamed Ahmed is an award-winning Sudanese film director, editor, and producer whose work focuses on experimental and documentary cinema. His films explore themes of conflict, identity, and cultural resilience, and have been screened at major festivals across North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. He is best known for Khartoum (2025), which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and received multiple honors at the Berlin International Film Festival. His other notable works include Is it War? (2024), Saddari (2023), The Hope Journey (2021), and Flower of Sinkat (2018). In addition to film, Ahmed is actively engaged in regional advocacy and commercial media production.
