This workshop provides students with a practical approach to protecting themselves when working with clients.

The never-ending project you never get paid for is a justified fear of many freelancers especially in the video production and post production space. Knowing exactly how to set the terms for the project and advocate for yourself as a professional can be difficult. One of the most important things you can do for yourself is always work with a clear contract. We will dive into how to build a basic contract for yourself and discuss what is appropriate to include as a professional. Note: this workshop does not constitute legal advice.

Outcome:

Students will receive a digital handout during the workshop with links to explore what is covered in the workshop in more depth.
