A deeply personal look into people’s experience with unemployment and isolation during the global pandemic. With busy phone lines and rising unemployment numbers, millions of Americans were unheard in this crisis. In an effort to change that, this film set up an unemployment hotline where people could call in and leave their story. Narrated by immensely intimate and honest voicemails sent in from all across the U.S.

About the Director:

Nikos Campbell is a twenty year old self taught filmmaker from Washington State. He began making films at an alternative school where students create their own curriculum. He used that freedom to make his own film program and curriculum he followed throughout high school creating over 25 films. Nikos’s films center around creating spaces for people to share their own stories. He strives to create moving portraits of life and feeling.
