Two Man Band
Ex-Gourds frontman Jimmy Smith and blues musician Pat McKay are no ordinary two-man band. Jimmy is best known for his two decades performing with the famed alt-country outfit, The Gourds as one of the principal songwriters and bass players, and Pat is famed for his folk-inspired, bluesy tunes in the band Two Minute Puzzle. Though the days of The Gourds and Two Minute Puzzle have come to an end, the two have come together for a whole new sound.

"Music, for those that are heavily involved, it's a part of them, it’s a part of their soul, it’s like their religion,” John Campbell quotes in Two Sides, Same Record. A documentary about two different sides of music coming together to reveal tight bonds and rich experiences. One side: John Campbell, a 64-year-old audio engineer that has been a part of the music industry for 44 years; the other: Hallie Racicot, a 17-year-old songwriter born with a natural gift.

WITHIN THE WALLS centers around a collection of female paranormal investigators and why they keep coming back to the Old Montana State Prison in Deer Lodge, Montana.

This block features the completed films from the Big Sky Documentary Youth Fellowship, a five-month-long mentorship program that gives a select group of MCPS high school students the opportunity to make a short documentary.
