My version of a Nike spot where two former athletes make the decision to get back to who they've always been.

In the pulsating rhythm of 1984, amidst Michael Jackson mania, unnoticed Stacy concocts a scheme to snag a ticket to the Jackson Five's final concert tour, and perhaps, the heart of the middle school's most sought-after boy. The Curl screenplay was the winner of the Inaugural 2025 DBFF Texas Short Screenplay Competition.

In the pulsating rhythm of 1984, amidst Michael Jackson mania, unnoticed Stacy concocts a scheme to snag a ticket to the Jackson Five's final concert tour, and perhaps, the heart of the middle school's most sought-after boy.

"Laundry" follows Darius and Bree Williams, a couple whose lives are shattered when their 6-year-old son Hunter suffers a severe oxygen-depriving accident. The story begins with the family enjoying a peaceful evening at home before the parents discover Hunter tangled in bedsheets, unconscious. Despite their frantic CPR efforts and paramedics' intervention, Hunter survives but is left significantly changed.
Three months later, Darius and Bree are emotionally estranged, each silently blaming themselves and each other for what happened. Their marriage has deteriorated into silence and resentment. After an argument, Darius leaves to do laundry and encounters a mysterious older woman named Elodie at the laundromat. She offers him wisdom about grief, healing, and second chances.
Following this encounter, which may have been supernatural as Elodie mysteriously disappears, Darius returns home with a new perspective. He and Bree finally open up to each other, acknowledging that although their son is different now, he's still alive and deserves their unified love and support. The film ends with them reconciling and committing to facing Hunter's rehabilitation together rather than in shifts, with a powerful message about child safety and the importance of CPR training.
The story is both a poignant family drama about processing grief and a reminder about the preciousness of second chances.
