This documentary is talking about a true story of Cambodian woman who her life has changed during and after the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia. She was lived in a better life before the Khmer Rouge reign, because her husband is the commander of the army, but then everything had changed when the Khmer Rouge came in. Her Husband was killed. She became the single mother with eight kids under her hand to take care. Then during the Khmer Rouge took over Cambodia, she had evacuated to another province with all her kids by walking all day all night. She had to hide her family history live as other person, because under Khmer Rouge if they know your family work as an army, or anything for previous government your whole family will get killed by them. During that time, she loses her two kids and her father, because they don’t have enough food to eat and no healthcare for them. She and her other kids had forced to work over work and got only little food to eat every day. After the Khmer Rouge is over her life become nothing, because the whole country stared everything from the zero. She had to work hard every day to feed all her kids. It is not the same life of her before the Khmer Rouge that had husband helped to support her. Her life now is starting with a new chapter of life, and she live with grief from losing her father, husband and two kids from the Khmer Rouge reign.
