Maca Gil is a storyboard and comic artist with more than 8 years of experience working in animated feature films, TV shows and graphic novels. She has worked on Cartoon Saloon's My Father's Dragon, Peanut Specials for Apple TV, Robot Dreams, and many other animated projects. She's also an author of DC comics' Anti/Hero.


She is currently working on a graphic novel for Marvel and doing storyboards for the Angry Birds 3 feature film.

Nacho Subritas

Director // Independent

Nacho Subritas began drawing as a child, inspired by superheroes, creatures, and cartoon characters that captivated him. His passion led him to study Art and Graphic Design at ESDIP Escuela de Arte in Madrid, where he later directed his first short film, YAKU. His freelance career flourished, working with companies and publishers like Penguin Random House, McGraw Hill, SM, and Vaughan. Notably, he illustrated the middle-grade action bestseller trilogy, "Total Jurassic."


He also worked as an Animation Teacher and Art and Animation Supervisor at ESDIP Animation Studio. His experience includes working on short films like Blue & Malone: Casos Imposibles, I Wish…, Mercury Corp, and directing the award-winning short film Oldie but Goldie (2019). 


Most recently, he served as Assistant Director on the animated film Robot Dreams (2023), directed by Pablo Berger, which premiered at Cannes and was selected for Annecy.


Beyond his work, he enjoys dinosaurs, exploring the mysteries of the universe, movies, comics (a lifelong Marvel fan), and collecting sneakers. He is a proud father and husband.

Marina Antunes

Marina has been writing and discussing film for over 15 years, first on a personal blog, followed by a decade-long tenure on the now retired Row Three. In 2008, she joined the writing staff at Quiet Earth, becoming Editor-In-Chief in 2014, a role she still holds. Over the years, she has also produced and hosted a number of podcasts including Before the Dawn, a long-running podcast on the Twilight franchise, Girls on Pop, a podcast on film and popular entertainment from women’s perspective and After the Credits, bi-monthly film podcast with nearly 300 episodes.


Marina is a member of ACM and ACM SIGGRAPH, the Online Film Critics Society, the Alliance of Women Film Journalists, and the Visual Effects Society. She is the President of Spark CG Society and the Vancouver ACM SIGGRAPH chapter. She has also served on juries for several film festivals including DOXA, St. Louis International Film Festival, and the Whistler Film Festival. She joined the Spark CG Society in 2014.
