In 1869, a small group of surveyors lead by John Wesley Powell set out to map the unknown extent of the Colorado River Basin. 150 years later, we're rafting 1000 follow in Powell's footsteps to reevaluate Powell's legacy, absorb the unquantifiable power of place and articulate what the future may hold for water in the American West.

Anna has spent years welcoming students, families, community members, and beginners in the outdoors to connect with our outdoor spaces, and each other. “Beyond the Scope” is a film amplifying Anna’s story and conveying her contagious love for conservation and her deep desire to cultivate a more inclusive outdoors for all.

Artist and climber Jeremy Collins has had a long and loving relationship with the desert canyons of the American southwest. In this short film, he describes his passion for three canyons in particular as he creates a new mural that combines them on paper. Captured with cutting edge robotic technology and featuring stunning timelapse imagery of Grand Canyon, Black Canyon, and Zion Canyon.

Like a River

When is it right to follow your dreams? Let's take the lead of international mountain guide Pasang Lhamu Sherpa Akita as she questions, then follows her intuition on the most important expedition of all – her own life. Pasang, an accomplished mountaineer, humanitarian and now mother, has won numerous prestigious awards, including National Geographic's People's Choice Adventurer of the Year in 2016. In "Dream Mountain," Pasang reflects on her personal highs and lows and rediscovers for herself just how much the mountains have meant to her. The film offers insights into her struggle to balance mountaineering with motherhood, and the pressures of respecting her traditional culture while pushing boundaries as an elite female athlete. Returning to her mountain-home and life-long passion to face Cholatse, a sheer 21,130ft/6,440m peak in the heart of the Everest region, Pasang leads by inspiration, proclaiming, “Everyone has a right to follow their dreams.”

Jackrabbit of Adventure

With The Pinnacle Club celebrating their centenary this film celebrates the success of a group of their earlier members who took part in an expedition in the 1960's to a remote part of Nepal, and were the first ever people to submit and map a region of peaks in the Kanjiroba Himal. A place they called Jagdula. 
 6 women took part in the journey with some driving overland from the UK to India, before hiking through the foothills of the Himalayas to their destination. 
 The two sole survivors of the group recount their tale from their homes in north Wales.
 A sweet film that celebrates women's climbing and shows what's possible with little more than a dream. Featuring original archive material from the expedition.

Journey to Jagdula

At the Tokyo Olympics, Kyra Condie was one of four Americans to compete in the first ever Sport Climbing event. Kyra’s journey to the Olympic Games is remarkable. At age 11 she was diagnosed with severe idiopathic scoliosis and told that she would never climb again. She underwent a spinal surgery at age 13 and defying expectations, she ascended to the top of the sport.

The C-Team is a mountain bike film celebrating Fat Tire's 30th Anniversary. Inspired by the fabled mountain bike ride through Europe that spawned the craft beer icon, we assembled a ragtag crew to ride more than 500 miles down legendary Colorado Trail, from Denver to Durango, stopping in the mountain towns nestled along the route, in search of cold beer and good times. Shot over 2 weeks from the saddle of bikes.

83-year-old Nimblewill Nomad is about to become the oldest person to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail. But he didn’t start at Springer Mountain, Georgia - his trek began on Flagg Mountain in Alabama, the true southern terminus of the Appalachian Mountain Range. Throughout his odyssey, he’s meeting hikers along the way and sharing the magic of Flagg Mountain, where he has been the caretaker for the past three years. With more than two decades and 50,000 miles of hiking experience behind him, will this really be his last last hike?

Beyond the beauty of New Zealand’s landscapes, his journey led him to meet inspiring people from different backgrounds who shared their personal experiences and learnings.
