Europe Day 2022 - 'Short Shorts from Europe'

As part of the French Presidency of the EU Council and to mark Europe Day on Monday May 9th, the EUNIC Ireland Network (European Union National Institutes for Culture) is delighted to present a free online screening of its 2021 Short Shorts from Europe programme.


Action, animation, drama – expect this and more from Short Shorts – a selection of European short films from the home countries of ten members of EUNIC Ireland.

Experience a variety of genres from contemporary, cutting-edge filmmakers with films from Austria, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Spain and the UK.


Shorts from Cork International Film Festival, the IFI and Limerick School of Art and Design are also part of the selection.


After the screening you will be asked to vote for your favourite film using your phone.


Simultaneous Free screenings are also presented in venues in Cork and Dublin on Monday 9th May at 6.30pm, find out more here.

It takes a steady hand to perform a well-done run. “Correre” (to run) is not only an action but it’s also a word. Handwriting, letters, italics or capital letters are characteristic elements of the style of a run. No one is forced to have a good handwriting, but perhaps it’s the only way not to stumble on our own words.
