Chrishenda Dawkins, was born and raised in Tacoma WA. Her love for Film came from a very young age but was different from your normal story. In her young age she wasn’t allowed to watch many films, and because of this she turned her home and environment into her stage. She would write out her stories and have her cousins act them out.
She then began to write plays and skits for church, and school. When Chrishenda Became an adult she realize she needed to make this her Profession. She headed to California where she studied at Columbia College Hollywood, however learned more on set with her mentor Meiko Taylor and Jovan Dawkins.
She is ready for her first break, she has excited her exceptions with her film "My Mothers Voice" that started as a class project and went further than what she could ever imagine.

Young, Black, on the rise, and my Vision will be seen. I planted my seed, now time to put the faith behind the work. because faith without works is dead.
