In this stunning debut from director Faraz Shariat, Parvis (Benny Radjaipour), a German-born son of Iranian exiles, is sentenced to community service at a refugee center after a minor shoplifting charge. There, his care-free, hedonistic lifestyle is challenged, as he meets other immigrants, including brother and sister Amon (Eidin Jalali) and Banafshe (Banafshe Hourmazdi), who have fled Iran. While Amon and Parvis immediately strike up a strong romantic connection, the three of them develop an even stronger bond based on shared hope for the future. Shariat tells this semi-autographical story that challenges widespread homophobia and xenophobia through a vibrant visual style full of references to pop culture. Winner of the Teddy Award for Best Feature Film at the 2020 Berin International Film Festival. "NO HARD FEELINGS is a love story, an immigrant tale and the announcement of an exciting new talent in Shariat.”- Jessica Kiang, Variety. In German, Persian and Arabic with English subtitles. Introduction by director Faraz Shariat.
