Japanese artist Azuma Makoto has sent his floral sculptures into space and sunk them to the bottom of the ocean, but most of the time, he thinks about the life and death of flowers. 

This short film is part of Shorts Program 2, which includes three revealing stories of fascinating lives and a strange but true story involving Johnny Carson. Following the screening, Boston Globe correspondent Loren King moderates a recorded Q&A with director Alison Klayman.
