The immigrant experience, for better and worse, is front and center in Golden Voices, the story of Victor and Raya Frenkel, Soviet-Jewish emigres to Israel after the collapse of the USSR. For decades the pair had been the golden voices of Soviet film dubbing - that is, theirs were the Russian-speaking voices that came out of the mouths of Hollywood and European film stars whose movies had made their way into the USSR.  But in Israel, with no need for Russian-speaking dubbing artists, Victor and Raya must find other ways to use their talents and find their way in a new world.
