From Chains to Freedom was created as part of the scheduled activities outlined for the ADC in 2022, where the company has embarked on doing a dance related docu-series, that bears historical significance to St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG). The first of these docu-series was "From Chains to Freedom", filmed in Heroes and Heritage Month (March). It speaks of the journey of slaves to the shores of SVG, to their long awaited chance of freedom. While this short film may not capture the sequence and actual events as they have occured, the ADC along with featured group Diadem Dancers, was happy for the opportunity to create something of significance, entertaining and different, not only through dance but also through the scope/avenue of acting.
