“Who Are We?” is a character-driven short documentary film that takes a unique approach to the subject of art as an avenue for personal identity formation. The backbone of the film is the commission of an exploratory self-portrait, alongside which two Colorado artists, Leigh Cabell and Steven Frost, complete weekly prompts that encourage them to think deeply about their artistic and personal journeys. Following the completion of their self-portrait, each artist meets with an art therapist and shares their work as the final step of their self-examination. They come to understand, on a deeper level, how they interact with their art, how it shapes them and, in turn, how art can shape humanity.
