A young Tsotsil woman, about to give birth for the first time, draws on the memories of the women who preceded her to navigate this unique moment, encountering the experience of motherhood in her world.

In a small place in the Highlands of Chiapas, a Tsotsil girl who will give birth for the first time, invokes the memories of the women who preceded her in order to face this moment. Amidst the fears and uncertainties of giving life, she discovers motherhood from the cosmovision of her world.

"Amma’s Pride" chronicles Valli’s unwavering support for her trans daughter, Srija, as she navigates the trials and tribulations of falling in love, getting married, and fighting for state recognition of her marriage in a traditional small town in South India. When societal pressures push Srija’s marriage to the edge, Valli clings to the hope of a miracle.
