A day that begins like any other soon enough descends into chaos for one man as a supernatural force terrorises him while he tries to do the simplest of things - eat his damn breakfast.

Director Statement

After years of thinking about making a short horror film, I decided to quit the procrastination and stop letting limitations get in my way.

BREAKFAST was filmed in the summer of 2023 with a cast of one and a crew of two -- myself and my wife Dawn, who acted as occasional camera operator/focus puller/sanity keeper.

In the spirit of a shoestring budget production, the film is confined to a single house and mostly the kitchen inside that house, with near-zero dialogue in favour of visually-driven suspense, action, and dark humour.

Filming the project and then working through almost all aspects of post-production solo - save for a wonderful score contributed by composer Filip Sobon - was a major challenge, but one I'm proud to have now finished as I consider future projects.
