The Stardust Motel follows Della Baker, a junior reporter who is determined to prove herself in the cutthroat industry of investigative journalism. She and a senior reporter travel to a desolate motel to cover a story on the dying motel industry. Della painstakingly goes along with the initial report, but shifts gears in hopes of investigating a pattern of strange disappearances among local women. Her explorations uncover some odd going-on at the motel, and she presses further with her investigation despite pushback from her increasingly agitated and scornful colleague. Della’s undying curiosity draws her into the dark depths of the motel, revealing a horrifying truth. Director Biography - Ori Ben-Shahar Ori Ben-Shahar was born in Jerusalem, Israel and moved to Northern California at the age of 9. After initially enrolling as a psychology major, she changed majors to pursue her true passion of filmmaking. She attended Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts as Film Production major with an emphasis on Directing and graduated in May 2023. Her passions for both psychology and film have led her to create psychological and fantastical thrillers, but she has recently found herself drawn to the horror genre. As a female filmmaker, Ori hopes to bring a feminine perspective into the largely male-dominated genres of horror and thrillers. Ratings

Through the interplay between family accounts, criticism of Randy Moore’s Escape From Tomorrow, and melting of James Reason’s Swiss Cheese Model, the filmmaker explores reenactment's role in resolving previous attempts at amusement. As Disney World customer service states in the film, “Just because we’re the happiest place on earth, doesn’t mean that everyone is happy.”
