For two weeks in 1968, Harry Belafonte guest hosted The Tonight Show. This blink and you miss it cultural event provided Belafonte with the unique opportunity to highlight black performers, multicultural artists and engage with the civic unrest of times. Featuring previously lost archival footage of interviews with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Dionne Warwick, and Robert F. Kennedy, this rich portrait of a legendary performer provides a behind the scenes look at what drove Belafonte.
