Streets scattered with bricks framed by fragmented buildings with exposed interiors paints the wretched scene of cities broken down by war or natural disasters. Once the Dust Settles unpacks how people return to these desolate streets and reconstruct what once was. Glimpses of Amatrice, Italy, Chernobyl, Ukraine, and Aleppo, Syria and the people who are restarting and reflecting on what life used to be and what they can make of it now.
