Immediately following the January 31 private preview of Ideologies & The Promise, moderator Jason Prah introduced this series of talks to an invited live audience watching virtually from three countries. He introduced director Alexandro Pacheco who had his first post-screening conversation. Alexandro brought with him psychotherapist Dan Bloom and, together, they spoke candidly in front of a virtual audience about the process of interweaving two stories into Ideologies & The Promise.

Dan Bloom, JD, LCSW is a psychotherapist from the New York Institute for Gestalt Therapy. Bloom will focus the conversation on the filmmaker's story, The Promise, an adaptation from a philosophy paper entitled, The Lifelong Secret. The Lifelong Secret will be shared to all participants in the confirmation email after securing your access. If you are interested in attending future conversations, visit the schedule page and consider a Series Pass.

An examination of theology and ideologies between two Hispanic immigrant women, one Cuban and one Mexican; and a philosophical journey between two cousins reeling from the loss of a family member. Both parts converge with a poignant, family-affirming climax. Adapted from an essay and a short story written by a son and his mother, respectively.
