Director Bio:
Terry R. Wickham has been watching scary movies since he was four years old. In 1978, John Carpenter's Halloween changed his life: “I couldn't get the imagery from that movie out of my head and wanted to be able to do to an audience what John Carpenter did to me.” Terry started out in Snohomish High School training in television production. A couple years later, while living in West Germany, Louisiana and New York, he directed a total of 25 music videos for such noted artists as Michael Knight and Voodoo Storm. Terry later furthered his formal training at the American Film Institute and at New York University as well as acting at HB Studios in New York City.
Terry has directed numerous short films, including Madame Red (1990), Double Fantasy (1994), Sarah (2000), Washington Road (2001), Help Me (2002) and Hair of the Dog (2003). Washington Road was selected as the Grand Prize Winner of the International Three-Minute Chillers Contest sponsored by Apple. In addition, Terry has five feature films to his credit as director. His 132-minute drama Out of Touch was released in 1995, and the horror anthology Evil Streets was unleashed in 1998 to which Terry contributed two episodes, “The Downfall of Johnny Garrett” and “Stalk." Since Evil Streets is no longer available to the public, Wickham took his two episodes and combined them with Hair of the Dog and filmed new Wraparound for the feature film Gruesome Threesome (2019), which had it's World Premiere on January 17, 2020 @ Hell's Kitchen NYC Festival. Wickham directed three of the five episodes, “The Devil's Five (aka The Wraparound)”, “Abandoned” and ‘Stash" that make up Devil's Five, which won Best Horror Film @ Hell's Kitchen NYC Festival in September 2018. In September 2019, Wickham and his two partners signed a distribution deal with Random Media for Worldwide Distribution in 2020. Most recently Wickham was Awarded Best Thriller Film with his latest feature film, an edge-of-your-seat psychological suspense-thriller in the vein of the late Sir Alfred Hitchcock with a touch of Wes Craven called Terry R. Wickham's Double Vision.
Wickham has begun the pre-production phase of his next feature film Anomaly and co-developing an exciting project with a close filmmaking friend for Television.
