If you have ever wondered about all the roles that go into a film production, here’s a chance to learn from some of the hard working behind-the-scenes practitioners. From script to make-up to coordinating extras, you’ll hear about the various aspects that go into these varied and essential roles.


Niamh Glynn, Make Up

Niamh began her career as a hairstylist in 2004, making the move into film in 2013. She’s worked and trained along side some of the best in the industry and has worked on production world wide, with her own work being recognised in Ireland with two IFTA nominations.


Siobhán Kavanagh, Extras Coordinator

Siobhán is an Assistant Director and Extras Coordinator who has been working in the Irish film industry since 2014. Siobhán studied Philosophy in Trinity and went on to do a Masters degree in Film Production and Screen Culture in UCD. Her recent credits as an Extras Coordinator include Nocebo, Disenchanted and Cocaine Bear


Eva Kelly, Script Supervisor

A Script Supervisor since 2010, Eva was initially a graduate of Computing before pursuing career in film. Eva describes role of Script Supervisor as ‘multifaceted and challenging, you are involved in almost every aspect of the film making process so that you are constantly learning’. Eva has worked on a number of television series and recent films including Gretel & Hansel and The Green Knight. 


Anna O’Carroll, Cinematographer

Anna is a Cinematographer and Visual Artist. A graduate of the National Film School at IADT, she is now based between Dublin and Brooklyn, while working all over the world. With more than 12 years in the industry, Anna has crewed the camera department on TV series, commercials, documentaries, feature films, and branded content. Anna is fuelled by her passion to tell engaging and emotive stories in the visual medium. 


Holly Tsan, Trainee/Assistant

Holly has been on film sets since she was five years old and has spent every chance she got, including school and summer holidays, working in the industry. She finished school last year and has been working in film ever since including as a trainee on Conversations with Friends and Holding, and as assistant on Queen Mary.
