Encore! Our ImageOut Short Film series are having a second week of availability - you now have until 27 October to order this program

Our 2024 Shorts Programs are made possible through the generosity of long-time ImageOut supporters David D. Emert and Jon P. Templin.

Film resides at the intersection of identity and politics. A filmmaker sharing a story with the community is political. The Queering Democracy: Film, Identity and Politics shorts program carves out spaces for us to exist and to be represented authentically. These stories remind us that whatever happens in November, art will continue to help us make sense of it all—for better or worse. Don’t miss this poignant and timely line-up!

The films highlighted in this series are intended as a companion to the ImageOut Art exhibit showing at Rochester Contemporary Art Center (137 East Avenue) from October 4 – November 16 (Opening: Friday, October 4: 6pm – 9pm).

A young non-binary person struggles to decide whether or not to go on hormones after their insecurities are highlighted during a phone call with their insurance company.
