Before the After: Join us for the World Premiere of this intimate documentary that chronicles Mark Allan Davis's resilient journey as he navigates a debilitating illness, showcasing his multifaceted career, and unwavering Buddhist faith through personal footage and interviews.
In Dialogue: After the film, share in a conversation led by international performing artist (and longtime supporter of ImageOut) Thomas Warfield with his lifelong friend and subject of the documentary Mark Allan Davis. They are joined by filmmaker Ash Verwiel and Executive Director of Garth Fagan Dance Natalie Rogers-Cropper, as they further explore themes addressed in the film and a special local connection to the Rochester region.

Choreographer, dancer, activist, artist, professor, and Buddhist, Mark Allan Davis discovers what it means to be ill in a world that’s tired of illness. Through an extensive collection of archival footage and personal videos to Mark’s best friend Stacey, in this short documentary we learn about his ‘before’ journey, with faith that there will be an ‘after’.
