Unmuted: Queer Lives, and Real Voices (Documentary Shorts)This collection of documentary shorts offers an intimate look at a range of personal relationships. It explores connections with what defines home, the self, historical narratives, and the ways we find and express our own voices.

How do we define home? Our country? City? Community? Neighborhood? House? For queer people, we may need to be creative about our definition of home. Griffin, a 29 year old trans musician, and Sharon, a 79 year old lesbian archivist, questions this core concept.&nbsp;

ImageOut World Premiere Music feeds the soul, and a queer chorus raises hearts and visibility. Queer voices from all over Austin, Texas join together to sing, to compete, to protest.

Jordon Barbour’s documentary is a portrayal of loss and grief, Broadway auditions and acting, self expression and love. As an actor, he opens up about mental health and finding yourself in a chaotic world.

Why We Pride follows the history of pride and legal changes throughout the UK, including various American events as well. This short documentary reminds us all of the hard work we have put into visibility and legality, and how much further we still need to go.&nbsp;

Why We Pride

Voice Shift follows transgender femme individuals as they seek a voice that reflects their gender identity. Guided by a trans vocal coach, the film weaves together stories from different stages of people's journeys. This all-trans cast, and predominately trans crew, focuses on people finding pride in their voice.

We’ll Carry On focuses on the friendship between Mabel Hampton, an African American, lesbian, and activist, and Joan Nestle, a white, lesbian and Jewish professor who is 40 years her junior. Ms. Hampton cared for Joan as a child, and roles reversed when Joan cared for Ms. Hampton at the end of her life.

We'll Carry on Alright

Poetry, modern dance, survival! Southern Son Shine centers Black gay men living with HIV through Southern storytelling, art, and ancestral memory. The film reframes the South as a place of survival, softness, and becoming, where faith, masculinity, queerness, and healing intersect. Through intimate reflection and creative expression, Southern Son Shine honors lived experience as cultural testimony, illuminating joy, resilience, and the enduring light found when Black Southern stories are told with truth and care. Inspirational!
