Telling stories by the fire is a universal cultural practice. Take a seat and join us to hear these legendary stories that are traditional, familial, and a mix of both. 


These shorts programs may differentiate from the shorts programs presented at our in-person festival screenings due to the various geoblocking restraints on each film.

In her latest wallhanging, artist Gayle Uyagaqi Kabloona reimagines the Inuit legend of Sedna, transforming a tale shaped by patriarchal violence into a vision of female sovereignty and self-determination.



Shelby Lisk is a Kanyen′kehá:ka photographer and filmmaker whose work centres cultural celebration and accurate representations of Indigenous women and communities.
