A new film by Prapat Jiwarangsan, commissioned for the (Im)material worlds film programme.

The experience of recording still and moving images before the 2020 military coup in Myanmar allows me to explore the nation’s stagnant movements. In a way, the stillness is similar to that of stuffed animals I came across in the Yangon Zoological Garden. I also think of another type of movement which is so alike; that is, the slow movement of the Yangon circle line train, which loops back to its former state, much like the political history of Myanmar.
