His 2005 movie Hustle & Flow won the Audience Award at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival. Craig also wrote and directed Black Snake Moan and directed the films Footloose, Dolemite is My Name and Coming 2 America. Craig has also written and directed for television, including the hit television series Empire.
