As rights are being rolled back and travel bans are going into effect, Shay and Quincy decide to leave their home in Ohio and travel East to a safety state where it is safe and legal to be queer. They meet up with another couple, Jacob and Michael, so together they can pose as straight married couples. Quincy takes an instant dislike to her new "husband", Jacob, as she resents depending on the men and pretending to be straight. As they face different threats on their journey, they form an unlikely friendship.

In a small suburb outside of Chicago lives Jonathan, a 57 year old man with ASD (autism spectrum disorder), also known as ‘Superman’. Known for his heroic actions, Jonathan is a revered member of the Glen Ellyn community and has been a staple in the 4th of July Parade for nearly 30 years. When Jonathan’s living circumstances were threatened by a new building owner, the townspeople sprung into action after his best friend Julie started a fundraiser to save his home.

When a local man with autism known as the town hero faces eviction, the community comes together when he needs saving.

A-song, a member of the indigenous Bunun tribe in Taiwan, works as a porter and embarks on a mission to assist in a search and rescue operation deep in the mountains. However, he soon loses contact with his team and becomes disoriented in the vast wilderness. The film explores the heartfelt connection that develops between A-song and a climber as they embark on a surreal journey through the dense undergrowth.
