We apologize, the short Appalheads that appeared in the in-person festival is not in this virtual block.
As Max prepares to eulogize his sister Chloe just minutes before her funeral, he wrestles with the anger, frustration, and grief of losing her to an overdose.
Sometimes I Imagine Your Funeral is based on the lived experiences of writer/director Vince Dixon, who lost his sister Lauren to a fentanyl overdose in 2021. Prior to Lauren's death, Vince wrote -- but never sent -- a letter to Lauren titled "Sometimes I Imagine Your Funeral." In it the director discussed the helplessness and frustration he felt as Lauren's substance abuse progressed. The film is based on that letter, but also on the moments of joy that Vince and Lauren shared in between all the bad.
Co-producer Gabe Donnelly, Wardrobe, Hair + Makeup Artists Kellie McCann and Mackenzie Hayden, and behind the scenes documentarian Jay Grillo are scheduled to be in attendance on Fri, April 25th 7:30 PM @ Living Room Theaters 6 and Sun, April 27th 5:15 PM @ Kan Kan 1
