Arriving home the morning after missing his daughters birthday, a functioning alcoholic dad runs over the family cat. In an attempt to hide the cat in the backyard, he finds himself drowning in the pool. From his perspective at the bottom of the pool, he watches the last minutes of his life unfold. "Cat" is the Narrative Category Winner in the High School Film Competition and will compete for the Summer White Lynch Memorial Grand Prize, Underwritten by Gary D. and Marlene Cohen.
