From New York to Appalachia, the two-foot long eastern hellbender salamander is an indicator species for our river health. The population has declined noticeably since the early 1980s. Hellbender in the Blue

"Hellbender in the Blue" captures communities from all over Indiana working towards improving the environment for our slimy friend, the Eastern Hellbender Salamander, and ultimately the water for us all.

"Community Power Indiana: Beyond the Line" illuminates how a fully bi-partisan effort created the first, and one of the largest, fully electric bus rapid transit (BRT) systems in the nation; bringing with it faster, more efficient transit, significant infrastructure upgrades, jobs, community benefits, and cleaner air. IndyGo—the Indianapolis Public Transportation Corporation—is home to 43 electric buses that provide a safe, reliable, and economically accessible commute alternative. This film is part of&nbsp;<a href="https://redfordcenter.org/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">The Redford Center</a>’s&nbsp;Community Power&nbsp;film series&nbsp;that spotlights&nbsp;local voices and their stories of unity and collective action to build a healthier, safer, and more just future for all. "Community Power Indiana: Beyond the Line" tells the story of the city of Indianapolis’ bipartisan support for clean transportation headed by IndyGo.

Due to amniotic band syndrome, Lizzi Smith was born without her left forearm. To combat anxiety and social exclusion, she takes up competitive swimming. Three years ago, Noblesville resident Geoff Davis organized a community toboggan build at the local library. A hundred people joined in to create two traditional American toboggans. In 1962, Ms. JoAnna found the courage to take herself, her mother Rasheeda, and her siblings out of an abusive family situation to find freedom and community in the Indianapolis neighborhood Martindale-Brightwood. Every year since then, they have invited their family, friends, and neighbors on Columbia Street to celebrate “Rasheeda’s Freedom Day” on the anniversary of their escape.&nbsp;
