For the past 15 years, Renee Fischer has worked as a senior associate director of Development Communications for Johns Hopkins University, Prior to that, she immersed herself into the world of emergency medicine as an associate producer for the Discovery Health series, “The Critical Hour.” She also was associate producer on the documentary, “Showtime at the Hippodrome.” She earned her M.A. from Stanford University in documentary film. Book by Its Cover” is her first independent work outside of school.
