A young queer adult seeks to understand their transness amidst their familial and cultural wishes. With child-like curiosities, A KIN SIN questions what it means to indulge in the things one normally would be reprimanded for. With a kick for rebellion yet fated for shame and guilt, the 16mm short documentary carefully listens to the joys and aches that come with gender exploration.

American teen Neelu feels like a fish out of water amidst preparations for her sister’s wedding in Delhi until she forges a brief and unexpected connection with Zeyb, a quiet sari store clerk who moonlights as an internet drag queen.

The human, on the other hand, is nostalgic and yearns to go back to the comforting embrace of his childhood.
