Ian Campbell – Associate Director of Policy and Campaigns, Project AWARE - MODERATOR
Ian is a marine conservationist with twenty years’ experience working across the private sector, government and non-profit. Ian is currently the Associate Director of Policy and Campaigns for Project AWARE, a non-profit working with the recreational diving industry, and leads the organizational shark conservation work. Previously, Ian managed WWF’s global shark conservation program where he led work on shark conservation across the South Pacific.

Shawn Heinrichs - Filmmaker, Mako Shark: King of the Pelagic Realm
Shawn Heinrichs is an artist and Emmy-award winning cinematographer, photographer and marine conservationist. His stunning and often stark artwork is fueled by his passion to protect the oceans, and the profound recognition that people only protect what they love. His images have transformed communities, and he hopes his work will inspire people to act before it is too late. A renowned expert on oceans and tireless activist, Shawn is the founder of the Blue Sphere Foundation and a major force in the global fight to protect endangered marine species and habitats. His work takes him undercover to some of the most remote corners of the globe, providing a rare view of the people and circumstances surrounding the endangered species trade. He was one of the lead activists and co-creators of the Emmy-nominated film, “Racing Extinction”, one of the most watched environmental documentaries of our time.

Lee Crockett - Executive Director, Shark Conservation Fund
Lee is responsible for designing and implementing programmatic and grantmaking strategies, managing SCF’s grantmaking portfolio, forming strategic partnerships with NGOs and other funders, fundraising, ensuring strong operations and governance, and representing the SCF to governments, NGOs, philanthropists, and the public.
Prior to joining the SCF, Lee spent 20 years working on fisheries management at the state, interstate, federal and international levels with both the US. Government and the non-profit sector. Most recently, he was the Director of U.S. Oceans for The Pew Charitable Trusts where he led Pew’s efforts to establish policies to end overfishing and promote ecosystem-based fisheries management in the U. S. under the authority of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act (Magnuson-Stevens Act), the federal law that governs ocean fish management. As director, Crockett oversaw Pew’s U.S. fisheries campaigns in the Northeast, South Atlantic, Gulf of Mexico, U.S. Caribbean, and the Pacific.
