In the 19th-century Levant, Salma Zahore joins her family and neighbors for a long-exposure photoshoot. As the camera captures time itself, she removes her coat, revealing her body. The gesture, innocent yet daring, stirs chaos within her community—unbeknownst to Salma, it becomes an act marked by shame (عيب).

SHAME

I’m part of Ballroom Culture and was one of the founders of Casixtranha, a house that emerged in the countryside of São Paulo. With this short film, I want to channel the energy of ballroom through visual and sonic experiments so the audience can feel what it’s like to be at these balls. Bruny Derotzi is a non-binary person with a background in theater and currently a film student. In the audiovisual field, they work in Production, Direction, and Screenwriting. Their portfolio includes two short films: Closet Monster and Ballrom Night.

After a long absent, the mother tries to find him but she discovers a secret which pushes her in a dilemma to deal with her Son identity. Saman Hosseinpuor was born in Kurdistan,Iran in 1993. He has Bachelor’s and Master’s degree of Cinema and He is an Alumni of Berlinale Talents 2024 and Asian Film Academy 2023. He made 11 short films and received more than 70 awards from international film festivals for his films. He is a Member of Iranian Short film Association

Since my early years, I have been passionate about playing football in my yard alongside my male friends. At the age of fourteen, I entered into the realm of female football training, eventually competing in varioustournaments. I found immense joy in this sport and observed my skills improving. However, living in apatriarchal society, I have been subjected to numerous toxic comments about my appearance andexpectations to be more feminine.Faced with this dilemma, I had to make a crucial decision: either pursue a professional football career or focus on my education and choose a field of study. If I had received more encouragement and backing from my family and relatives, there would be no doubt in my mind that I would have chosen the path of football, as it was my beloved activity with the potential to become a profession. I aspire to represent my personal journey through a short fiction film, expressing the essence of my experiences and emotions through creative means.Saadat Sataeva 21 year-old- artist, filmmaker from Central Asia, Kyrgyzstan. Growing up queer as a young woman and football player in Kyrgyzstan, I encountered hardships daily, occupying a cultural blind spot in daily life as well as heritage and film. Being a creative person, I learned to express myself subtly through art.

Black, poor and semi-illiterate, Gregorio or Gorete, is 59 years old and reflects on prejudice and happiness while preparing to celebrate his birthday among his co-workers, who welcome him regardless of his gender.

Rayhan is a film director and writer with a Bachelor's degree in Television and Film from Padjadjaran University. Rayhan has directed various short films &amp; documentaries, such as “Tuyul &amp; Pak Yul” (2020) and “Manyalak (2021)”, both of which were included in the official selection of international film festivals such as Jakarta Film Week, Minikino International Film Festival and Madani International Film Festival. And then, Rayhan’s recent works include the Axis web series entitled “Mengkritis the Series” and the XL Axiata web series entitled “RT 808”.
