In previously unheard bombshell audiotapes, the architect of Hitler’s Final Solution boasts about his role and motives during the Holocaust. Six decades after his trial and execution in Israel, these long-hidden recordings surface of Adolf Eichmann talking with a Dutch Nazi journalist in 1957 Argentina. Before facing justice, the candid admissions expose Eichmann’s visceral antisemitism and zeal for mass murder, contradicting his later claims that he was merely a functionary following orders. Investigative filmmaker Yariv Mozer, who tracked down the original recordings, posits why the evidence was concealed during trial. Staged reenactments of Eichmann’s own chilling words, as well as colorized courtroom footage, offer a dramatic rebuttal to notions of the banality of evil.

The Devil's Confession: The Lost Eichmann Tapes will feature opening remarks by Tara Rosenblum and will be immediately followed by a panel discussion featuring Stephanie Hausner, David Nasaw, and Rick Salomon.

Tara Rosenblum is a longtime anchor/host/reporter for the News 12 Network and currently focuses on the investigative and political beats. Tara is one of most award-winning local tv reporters in the country. Her more than 300 industry awards include 2017 & 2022 National Edward R Murrow Awards, 53 Emmy wins and 172 Emmy nominations (9 of them for New York's top general assignment reporter). In 2014 and every year from 2016 to 2022, she was the most Emmy-nominated TV reporter in the NY market; one of the years bringing home a record 13 wins.

Tara has had 12 days named in her honor in communities across New York. Her other numerous awards include the MPAC organization's 'Woman of the Year' in 2019 and the RDC Center's 'Spirit of Compassion' award in 2020. Tara was also included on City and State Magazine's 'Power 100' list in 2019 and voted as the top media personality by the readers of Westchester Magazine for six years.

Tara was a 2005 Walter Cronkite political fellow and spends much of her time producing, writing and reporting News 12's political coverage. Tara has interviewed presidents, governors and reported live from state and national political conventions. She has also reported on many high-profile criminal cases and led News 12's coverage of Bernie Madoff, Ben Novack Jr. and Robert Durst. Tara's investigative reporting of Durst made international headlines in 2021 and led up to his indictment in Westchester. Tara also spent four years covering the 9/11 health crisis.

Stephanie Hausner is currently the Chief Operating Officer of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations. Stephanie focuses on strengthening conference activities and working with member organizations on combating antisemitism and promoting a vibrant US-Israel relationship.

Prior to this role she was the Managing Director for the Israel Action Network at the Jewish Federations of North America. Stephanie oversaw the Israel Action Network’s federal and state advocacy efforts, campus, and community initiatives. She also served two terms as an elected Councilwoman in Clarkstown, NY, and served on the Democratic National Committee from 2009-2012. Stephanie graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a degree in International Relations and a concentration in American Foreign Policy. She was also listed in “The Jewish Week 36 under 36" and the "Rockland County 40 under 40". Stephanie currently serves on the boards of JCC Rockland and SOAR Leadership.

David Nasaw’s most recent book is The Last Million: Europe’s Displaced Persons from World War to Cold War. He is also the author of The Patriarch: The Remarkable Life and Turbulent Times of Joseph P. Kennedy, a New York Times “Ten Best Books of the Year” and a Pulitzer Prize Finalist in Biography. His bestseller Andrew Carnegie was a Pulitzer Prize Finalist and the winner of the New-York Historical Society’s American History Book Prize. The Chief: The Life of William Randolph Hearst was honored with several awards, include the Bancroft Prize for History.

Professor Nasaw is the Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr. Professor of History Emeritus at the CUNY Graduate Center and a past president of the Society of American Historians.

A Harvard-trained lawyer and CEO, Rick Salomon is a co-founder of the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center, the 2017 National Museum of the Year. A frequent public speaker who has done many events with the 92Y, Temple Emanu-El's Streicker Center, The Common Good, the Alliance For Justice, and other venerable institutions, he is an expert on the making of "The Devil's Confession: The Lost Eichmann Tapes," its history, and backstory.
