Takeshi Arima (Takahiro Miura) is 35 years old, single, and unmarried. 有馬武志(三浦貴大)は ３５歳にして奥手の独身。鳶の親方であり“大綱引”の師匠でもある父・寛志(西田聖志郎)から常々「早う嫁を貰うて、 しっかりとした跡継ぎになれ」とうるさく言われている。

とある日、ふとした事件から韓国人女性研修医ジヒョン(知英)と出会い、次第に心を通わせるようになる。

その頃有馬家では、母・文子(石野真子)が定年退職を宣言し女将も家事も放棄したため、妹・敦子(比嘉愛未)はじめ家族の皆が四苦八苦する。

一方、年に一度の一大行事“大綱引”が迫るなか、武志はジヒョンから「あと２週間で帰国するの」と告げられる。「出会いとは?」「結婚とは?」「家族とは?」「覚悟とは?」
