Based on the “Legend of cherry shells” known to the Noto area,「Sakurairo no kaze ni notte」is a story of how the bond of a family and friendship complicatedly intertwine together.

Sakura Kai heads off on a road trip to Wajima, a popular place to visit in Noto with the intention of finding the beach where she had visited on a family trip 17 years ago.

Sakura’s father left her and her mother after treating them brutally and sent a letter of apology years later after finding out that he was severely ill.

Without being able to forgive such a selfish father, she tries looking for the memorable beach to forget everything in her past.

After reuniting with Tsutomu and Karen, who had helped her from drowning years ago, they go on a journey to find the exact location of the beach where she had taken a photo.

However, the journey on forgetting the past quickly turns into a walk down memory lane and realizing the importance of her family.

能登地方（富来町）の『桜貝伝説』をベースにした『桜色の風にのって』は「親子の絆」と「友情」が交錯する物語。

甲斐さくらは能登観光の拠点である輪島でひとり車を走らせていた。17年前に両親と3人で家族旅行の際に訪れた浜辺を探すために…。父の放蕩はさくらと母を苦しめ、挙句の果てに家を出ていくも今では重い病を患い、懺悔の手紙をよこす。そんな身勝手な父がますます許せなくなり、その浜辺で自分の中ですべてを精算しようとしていたのだ。その浜辺で溺れそうになったさくらを助けた勤と花蓮と出会ったさくらは、写真に写る浜辺の風景を頼りに車を走らせる。しかし、精算のための旅のはずが、次第に良き家族を確認するかの如き旅の記憶が寄せてくるようになる。
