1923年の関東大震災をきっかけに、日本国内で朝鮮人の蜂起への懸念が高まった。文子とそのパートナーである朴烈（パク・ヨル）を含む、多くの反植民地主義者や左翼活動家が逮捕された。皇太子暗殺の陰謀を企てたとして告発された二人は死刑判決を受けたが、後に無期懲役に減刑された。

あらすじ：

史料や私的な手記をもとに、日本の帝国主義に声を上げつつ、自らのアイデンティティを見出そうとした一人の女性の、悲劇的で短命に終わった生涯を描く。本作は、金子文子の実話を描いている。激動で過酷な生い立ちから、日本の皇太子を狙った虚偽の爆破未遂容疑で懲役刑に処され、栃木女子刑務所で過ごした最期の日々までを追う。判決から処刑までの121日間、彼女が亡くなったのはわずか23歳の時だった。
