An old promise leads to an unlikely friendship when Samuel, an elderly Holocaust survivor, meets Casey, a racist, runaway teen. Through love and forgiveness, the two develop an unexpected bond and become the family neither ever had. Samuel is played with incredible grace and restraint by multi-Emmy Award-winning actor Ed Asner in this powerful and heartfelt film about family, forgiveness, and fighting your own demons.
