From the director of The Cakemaker (JFilm 2018) comes America, a visually colorful tale of childhood friends reconnecting with unintended consequences. Eli, a soft-spoken man with a painful past, returns home to Israel from Chicago after his estranged father passes away. He is quickly reunited with his old friend, Yotam, who runs a Jaffa flower shop with his fiancée, Iris. When tragedy strikes, Eli and Iris are drawn to one another as they struggle to cope resulting in an uncomfortable love triangle. With strong performances by the entire cast, America is an emotionally charged sophomore film from the talented director Ofir Raul Graizer. (Adult content: sexual situations)
