Our J-Film for the Halloween season, The Good Father, is both delightfully suspenseful and a little scary.  

A terrible car accident has scarred young Hana’s (MINAMI Sara) family. Her mother is in a coma, her father is stricken by grief, and her younger sister hides her disfigured face behind a disquieting mask. One day Yotsui (ONISHI Ryusei), a young boy dealing with his mother’s mental illness, knocks on Hana’s front door, and the two quickly form an emotional connection. As Hana and Yotsui get closer, questions arise about their families and the eerie darkness that lingers over their homes.
